Gary H. Westerman, B.S., D.D.S., M.S., F.A.C.D.

Following his graduation from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 1969, Dr. Westerman served in the U. S. Army Dental Corps for two years. He then enrolled in the Graduate Pedodontics Program at the University of Iowa and received his M.S. in 1973, after which he joined the faculty of the School of Dentistry at Creighton University. Dr. Westerman has membership affiliations with Children’s Memorial Hospital and with St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha. Currently, Dr. Westerman is Professor and Chair of the Department of Community and Preventive Dentistry. He has a secondary appointment in the School of Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics and is a Faculty Associate in the Center for Health Policy and Ethics at Creighton University. He is also the second chairholder of the Oscar S. Belzer Endowed Chair in Dentistry at Creighton University. His present academic duties include the coordination of all community and preventive dentistry activities of the School of Dentistry. Dr. Westerman also maintains a private practice in Omaha.
